Bugs

The game is extremely buggy with features implemented but not working properly and whole dialog trees not triggering or out of order. We will update the build to bring it to it's full glory very soon!

There is an audio stuttering issue with the HTML5 build when using Chrome/Edge. This stems from a known issue in Godot.
For the best experience we recommend either Firefox or one of the download builds.

Very adorable and charming game! The character designs and theme are really cool and well put together, very artistic. I also experienced a bug where I couldn’t swipe the card and got stuck, it happened around Day 22. The choices doesn’t seem to be all that impactful, and I don’t really know what I’m doing. All in all, it’s a pretty awesome concept, good job!

Really liked the Reigns-like dialogue :D

I had a bug where after swiping on one of the dialogues it wouldn't show a new card so I was stuck after that, and sometimes the repeating dialogues were a bit confusing. Aside from that the game was really good for such a short game jam!

Nice game! Didn't see any options to download it besides in itch's app (which also gave an stutter in audio, so I had to mute the music). The character design was pretty original and I love swiping games, as Doot stated below, I also wished that the game hadn't same encounters, but hey, for a 48hrs game jam, amazing result, cgrats for the team!

Great job 🦈

The art is really well done, the music is bangers and the sound FX work very well!

The Reigns-like gameplay is a good idea and is quite well implemented, even if I had some non responding inputs now and then (come on Godot). Also it feels strange to sometimes have the same encounter with the same sentence twice in a row! I am sure this was due to time limitations and can be easily fixed in the future version!

Thanks for the game I had fun 💌

Hey thanks for playing! @soyoungchoart and @kumashov composer really knocked it out of the park on this one. I had fun doing the UI design and VFX for it too!

Glad you picked up on the Reigns inspiration, such a great game. We wanted to create something wholesome using that format and a narrative based game about making friends seemed like a good fit.

Also the input non responsiveness isnt Godot's fault actually but rather a safety lock I made for drawing cards too quickly. I was probably a bit too overzealous with it's implementation.

Regarding the issue with the same encounter happening over and over, you're 100% right about it being strange. Each card is supposed to have a cooldown period but I broke it on accident without realizing just before submission. It's already fixed in a new build I'm working on :)

You also may have noticed that the first meeting with characters sometimes happens AFTER you've already met them, along with other cards being drawn out of order or not at all. This is a bug in the event system where cards have been incorrectly added or removed from the potential draw pile. For the jam I managed to create 70 unique cards but unfortunately you probably only see about 20 to 30 of them in the current build. Soon to be fixed too!

Would love it if you could check out the next version when it drops!

Love the art style so much! Really unique and fun concept. Great job to all!

Thank you so much for playing. Glad you enjoyed the game. We will be fixing the many bugs very soon so look out for a new build in the next week or so!
